Two Posts for the Price of One!

This is basically a direct rip-off of one of Gabe's blog posts a month or two ago but I'm still doing it anyway. *ahem*

Who beat me up in the picture below? None other than Jess "The Joker" Liaudin! Okay, while he's not as famous as the guys my brother grappled with when he got his bruises (Forrest Griffin and Rory Singer), Jess is well-known in the European fight circuit and has even fought Shonnie Carter before (he was the only fighter I recognized from Jess' record).

So yeah, I went to the London Pancrase gym a little while ago to do some kickboxing and grappling and they kicked my ass. It was great! My arm still hurts from an armbar one of the guys put on me but all the rest of the cuts and scrapes have healed. It was so nice to mix it up again because I haven't done any kind of fighting for months. I've only been a handful of times to the gym but whenever I stop my internship and start a PAYING job I think I'm going to sign up for the butt-kicking on at least a weekly basis.

Man, you look rough! Stay away from the Chavs.

Does that mean you're staying in London and getting a job?

How can looking like this possibly make you feel good? If your arm (hope it wasn't the busted elbow arm) still hurts, then it's injured, Einstein. God almighty, you look awful.....

Shirin-
I would get some kind of job in London no matter what. I still have two months left on my work visa and I'm gonna use 'em.

Mom -
Look, to each his own right? I mean, just because I'm busted up a little doesn't mean it has to be a bad experience. Wasn't childbirth pretty rough?? I bet you're glad you did all that though, aren't ya? :)

I would wager that you're safer in the gym than you are walking to the gym. It's kind of like the Ides and Thanksgiving. I know that someday I'll probably drop dead running from second to third base, but the benefit I derive from the experience far out-weighs the risk. I would worry about you to a greater degree if I knew you were having a few pints and driving home. Just be safe and make good decisions as I know you will.

maybe I am, maybe I'm not (when my product is damaged intentionally)

Would you use a name in your posts so everyone else knows who you are?
